4 Quick Apply Full-time Part-time 18 hours ago Full Job Description Big River Health and Rehabilitation is Looking for a Director of Nursing with Long Term Care experience, preferably 2 years experience in a supervisor position and a active Registered Nurse License in the state of Missouri.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to; 1.
Director of Nursing must be readily available by phone or pager 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
Exceptions are to be limited in scope and required the delegation of Director of Nursing authority for a pre-specified period of time.

Delegates authority, and accountability to other nursing staff personnel as deemed necessary to perform their assigned duties.
3.
Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm and competent environment throughout the facility.
4.
Actively participates in the recruitment, selection and training of skilled, quality staff.
5.
Assures staff development through scheduled, planned, updated and conducted in-service training classes.
Provides on-the-job training and orientation programs to assure that current materials and programs are continuously provided so staff skills are maintained and improved.

Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the Nursing Service Department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
Develops, maintains, and updates, at least annually, written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Service Department.

Develops, implements, and maintains an ongoing quality assurance program for the Nursing Services Department 8.
Participates in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
